NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Public Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Franklin Community Unit School District No. 1, Morgan County, Illinois, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday October 29, 2025 at 6:00 P.M., in the Media Center of the Jr-Sr High Building, 110 State, Franklin, Illinois, to consider and adopt a resolution to waive the administrative cost cap provisions of the School Code for the 2025-2026 School Year, pursuant to Section 17-1.5 of the School Code.

No school October 13th
There will be a player/parent meeting for any 5th or 6th grade boy interested in playing basketball this winter on October 19th at 4:00 pm in the Waverly Cafeteria. Coach Ryan will go over the schedule and rules for the team. All forms and fees must be collected through the junior high/high school office at your school.

I wanted to inform everyone of a change to our lunch menu for next week. We will be working on our natural gas supply line to the buildings at 110 State, which will affect our capabilities to prepare “hot lunches.” We will be offering sandwich and wrap options for next week. To be clear, there is no danger for our students with the natural gas line being shut off. If you have any questions, please contact the office at 217-675-2395.
